Spark - Brigid Kemmerer

The second book to the Elementals series is Spark. This is a story about Gabriel Merrick, and his love Layne.
Gabriel;s element is fire and as fire is not always present like the other elements gave him a really hard time to learn control, especially mixed with his fiery personality. Like in the first book to the series, this book has a lot of drama and page turner moments, as well as a love story that will give you shivers! Everyone (including me of course) loves a bad boy turned good and thats exactly what is given in this book!

I don't think i'll talk about the other 3 books but they all pretty much have a similar story line... they have a girl... someone tries to kill them.... they still have the girl.... and their alive!!!
Although i should mention that 'secret' addresses more serious issues that can be relevant to some teenagers.

All together I enjoyed the series enough. It wasn't the best i've read but it sure wasn't the worst either. All of the books were very easy to read and provided a great escape from the real world!

Storm - Brigid kemmerer

This is the first book in the Elementals series. I picked this book up from a thrift shop because I thought the cover looked like something I would like. It cost me about $4.00, however after reading this one I instantly had to go and buy the other four books to the series.
Its mainly about 4 brother who have the ability to control one of the elements. Storm focuses on the youngest brother Chris Merrick, who can influence water. The story is written in a third person point of view but switches between both Chris and Becca, the female protagonist.
Becca finds herself town between two boys who are both keeping secrets from her, while also dealing with her own family and school issues.
I honestly found this book really interesting, I’m a sucker for romances and this one intrigued me like no other! Although it was hard to figure out which boy I wanted Becca to go for! They were both so desirable!!
I was looking forward to hearing more about their relationship, however the next books don't continue in Chris and Becca’s stories, instead they swap between each of the other brothers. This annoyed me a little as I get very attached to characters and it always took me a little longer to get into the next books because I just wanted to know about one of the other brothers.

I really enjoyed this series! I honestly wish I could control the elements! Wouldn’t that be cool!!!!

Girl Online By Zoe Sugg

So I literally just finished reading Girl Online, written by the UK youtube sensation Zoe Sugg (Zoella).
This book I found to be a very easy read. I think it took me about 3 days to read (in-between work) as I just could never find a reason to put it down (till it got to 2am and my eyes were too sleepy to keep going).
The protagonist of the book is a teenage girl called Penny who goes on an exciting adventure to New York and ends up meeting the boy of her dreams, Noah. Although the book is full of corny romance parts that give me goose bumps and make me instantly want to run off to New York, it also addresses various other issues that i'm sure most teenagers have had to deal with at some point or another, including anxiety, relationships and sexuality.
Although some parts were a bit too corny for my taste I found this book to be quite a page turner. I always wanted to know what Penny was going to do next or what happened to Noah! I instantly fell in love with the characters and found that I could really relate to them (being a teenager myself), which I think is a crucial factor to a novel.
In my opinion Zoella has done a great job with her first teen novel and i'm excited to see what else she has coming out.
This book also inspired me to keep up with my own blog a little more and who knows... maybe someday i'll meet my prince charming as well!!
Let me know what you guys thought of the book!!
